This native, evergreen, suckering shrub forms a loose groundcover with lustrous emerald leaves and panicles of canary flowers in May with waxy blue berries in autumn. It is durable and adaptable to a variety of growing situations and soil conditions. Will grow in full sun to dark shade. When planted in full sun the plant will grow more dense and suppress weeds; in shade the growth is more loose.
