Soil: Well-drained, Fertile, Humus-rich, Moist
Zone: 3-9
Tolerance: Deer, Shade
The 3 to 4-foot tall flower spikes of 'Giant Shirley' foxglove bear pink, rose, or white flowers, each with a speckled throat, above large, toothed leaves. Unlike many other foxgloves, the flowers of this cultivar uniformly encircle the spike and are held horizontally instead of nodding. Great as a cut flower, this self-sower adds drama, height, and form to a border or container.
